do you train ai on my conversations?
no. conversations are stored so you can return to them - never shared with the model provider for training, never sold, never used for anything beyond delivering the service back to you.
is my chat history encrypted?
yes - beyond the disk encryption every cloud service has. message content is encrypted at the application layer before it reaches the database, each conversation under its own key, with keys held outside the database. to be precise about the limit: our servers decrypt conversations to generate replies, so this is not end-to-end encryption.
what model powers evenfall?
a fast frontier model, picked for speed and answer quality. we'll add more model options over time, surfaced through the same picker.
can i make my own assistants and characters?
four ready-made ones - roleplay, code, writing, study - are there for everyone, no upgrade needed. building your own is on any paid plan: it gets its own instructions, opening line, conversation starters, and a generated portrait, and its chats stay separate from the rest of your history. characters hold a personality for roleplay; assistants are tools with a job, like a line editor or a study partner.
what happens when i hit the free limit?
the free tier includes a limited number of messages each day, and the counter resets at midnight utc. upgrade for a much higher allowance, or just come back tomorrow - nothing is lost.
is delete really delete?
yes. deleting a conversation removes the row from the database - no soft-delete, no shadow archive, no "recoverable for 90 days". account deletion in settings works the same way and is immediate.
